Boarding Club

Before our Boarding Club was established, we were often asked by people who had adopted from us whether they could leave their pets here while they travelled. The animals they knew had been well looked after while in rescue, and it was a real privilege knowing we were to be trusted with them again. Sometimes other people previously unknown would contact us about boarding their pet here short term, and that’s how we realised the need for a small animal boarding area. Of course, we are predominantly a rescue, but when we have that extra space we’re more than happy to babysit an animal we know has a loving home to go to at the end of their stay, and are glad for the fees that help the other rescues who are not so lucky and may be with us for several months waiting for their new home.

We were very happy to have been able to board our bunny & guinea pig (Homer and Manny) with Porsche, knowing they would be taken care of superbly. Having adopted them from Porsche to start with, we knew they would be in good hands & that we would be free to really enjoy our holiday with no anxiety about their welfare. Upon return, we received a lovely update of their day to day & they looked very happy with their ‘holiday time’ also. Porsche was very accommodating when a late change to our pick-up became necessary & we really appreciate this. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this boarding service & will be using it again ourselves repeatedly. It’s very reasonable priced & takes all the angst out of leaving your pet/s behind. We can not provide a premises inspection, because it is run from my family's home and having people come through would become like open house every day! We do need some privacy, however we can guarantee that your pet will be undercover, with daily food, water and vegies. They also get time in an exercise pen, and we find boarders settle in really quickly, and often return when their families travel again.

If you have internet access during your holiday, we can send updates on how your animal is going with us, and send through photos to help with the separation.

I was really impressed with the great communication for drop off and pick up of my two bunnies (Mika and Elle). Porsche was willing to negotiate a suitable day and time to minimise disruption.   I was assured my bunnies were given the best of care and they were. The cage was returned cleaner than I gave it to her and was given a report on the bunnies progress throughout their stay. The bunnies were accommodated in their own cage in a sheltered area. Each day they were allowed to run around on fresh grass.   I would highly recommend boarding your animals here because it's very reasonably priced and there's very personalised care taken with all animals.
